Alternative dojo is live.

Hey guys!

Cold and dusty December is my worst and best time of the year.

For the first time in years I have a new year resolution and I'm looking forward to not breaking it.

This post is dedicated to alternative dojo. Congratulations to Sa'id on the launch and I'm so glad that I get to be a part of the first volume. Please check it out and support the art.

Here's a link to the updated alternative Dojo blog  http://alternativedojo.tumblr.com/
Thank you and stay warm.

Day 2

Hey
Two posts in two days? Must be christmas! We've wrapped the classes and I'm beyond exhausted but it was completely worth it. Today included a hike to get to our location at Usuma dam and honestly it is one of the most beautiful places I've been to in Nigeria.

Anyway just like yesterday I'm going to share pictures from behind the scenes as well as the professional pictures. I shot with both natural and artificial light.
I've noticed some improvements in my work and I'm extremely happy about it. I cannot wait to get behind the camera once I'm back home.

A big thank you to bigH studios for organising these classes and to Tope Horpload for basically inspiring and helping us out.

I genuinely hope I get to post regularly considering my new found inspiration.

Happy viewing.

bigh studio photography class day 1

Hi!
How are you guys doing? Before I say anything else I'd like to say thank you to all my viewers. I have finally reached 10000 views, YAY!

Anyway I came to Abuja to get away from Kaduna and as luck would have it bigH studios decided to have a class and of course I registered.

I got to learn how to use artificial lights and my confidence in them has improved. So here are the behind the scenes and professional pictures from the first day of the class.

Look out for day 2.

Happy viewing.

November November

Hi!!

Happy November!

The year is almost over and I'm not so sure where the time went to. Anyway started the month ill but I'm feeling better now, Alhamdulillah.
Today is my sister's birthday and we did a little shoot in our garden.

First of all my flash failed me and that just put me off. So we ended up using a reflector only indoors and that didn't exactly turn out so well. At the end of the day we moved outside and chased the last bit of sunlight.

Happy Birthday to Aunty Billy. Despite the setbacks, I enjoyed our little shoot.

Have a lovely week guys.

Pinky x AR clicks

Hello!

Hope you all had a productive week?
Today I did an impromptu shoot with my sister. She got her face beat by Pinky and I whipped out my camera. Luckily for us the sun was out and I love using natural light. Anyway I figured I'd share a few pictures on here.

Happy viewing!
Have a lovely weekend.

Blog post in a blog post

Hiiii!

I should probably have a better and catchy opening phrase.

Well this summer has been super fun and I'm surprised because I didn't have any expectations. Anyway I've been upandan (up and down lol) which explains the silence across my social media accounts. I'm planning on starting a new side project and I'm excited about it.

That's about it for today. I'm off to Kano and you, have a pleasant weekend!

P.S I made a blog post on my last day of interning but apparently I forgot to post it so I'm just going to leave a screenshot of it down here because why let it go to waste? Exactly!

Kush town

Everything about the journey to Kusherki was interesting. Niger state's landscape is absolutely beautiful and I found myself taking photographs in my head because we obviously couldn't keep stopping every few minutes. The only downside about the trip was the bumpy road, OH LORD! My back still hurts from falling into unavoidable potholes.

I may be turning into a wedding photographer (Oh God). It isn't exactly where I thought I'd be heading to but I'm still figuring things out so we'll see. At the end of the day photography is what I love and it is what I want to pursue. My only hope is that I never lose my purpose because it gets hard when you're trying to do your thing and everyone else keeps trying to make you fit into what "everyone" else feels is the right thing.

Excuse my rant.

Anyway I was the main photographer for the whole 2 days and it was stressful but worth it. Nana is like an older sister to me so I felt right at home. I'm super happy for her and may Allah bless their union. As promised, here are a few pictures from the event.

Happy viewing.

Marvel in the beauty

Hey,

To those fasting, I hope Ramadan is treating you well? The heat in Dubai is almost unbearable and I'm counting down to HOME! Not like I miss it but I'm looking forward to being home. Anyway of course I haven't taken any pictures these past few weeks because I don't have time and the weather isn't even encouraging. I'm going to be officially done with CUD soon so YASSS!

Here is the last post on my trip to Paris.
Have a lovely week.

city of Paris

I've had this song stuck in my head and after hours of searching I finally found out who sang it and it has been on repeat.

As I mentioned in my previous post, here are more pictures from my trip to Paris.

Happy viewing.

with love, paris

I just realised I barely shared pictures from my trip to Paris. There's been so much happening and I've basically dedicated my free time to sleeping and watching my shows rather than sorting things out and editing and updating the blog. If I'm being totally honest, I needed the time off even though I got tired of doing nothing, it was still highly needed. I have a week off of work so I figured I'd close this week off with a post. I'll in shaa Allah post some more in a few days.

Pictures are from the Louvre museum, the beautiful Eiffel Tower and Notre dame cathedral.
