AR clicks 2nd year anniversary passed and I didn't even notice because I'm bad with dates (excuses excuses). I remember when I got the inspiration to start this blog. Initially it was meant to be a blog with lots of text like this post and not related to photography. I had a lot of things on my mind I wanted to share. I think I first named it Maya or MaysAdam. However, I realised I didn't want to be another human sitting behind a computer typing away her thoughts, life, opinions, time, energy etc. Eventually, I decided to share my photographs. After much consultation I made a decision and changed the name.
The birth of ARclicks!
Blogging has been a good experience so far and I've basically gotten good feedback from people I know and those I don't know. Looking back at my earlier posts compared to recent ones, I feel like I've grown a lot these past 2 years (which is obviously expected). At first my worry was getting an audience but at the same time I had this fear of being ridiculed and not being good enough. I got over that though. I've come to realise that when you find something you love to do then likes, popularity, fame and so on doesn't really matter at all. What matters the most is the content I put out, how well I express myself through my creativity/photographs, the positive effect my content has on people and how I can use whatever knowledge gain to improve upon my skills, myself and be better in what I do. That said I'm dedicating my 2015 to growth and discovery/ rediscovery of myself.
Self doubt stops me from doing things. I think I fear what I want the most because I'm not sure of the outcome and not knowing is exactly why I don't always push myself as much as I should.
Here's to 2015, a year for growth, collaborations, positivity and making improvements. Happy 2nd anniversary ARclicks and thank you to everyone for your continued support. I appreciate it more than you'll know.
